I think I’ll definitely own my own business at some point in life, but I don’t think it would ever be a flower shop.
If for some crazy reason I did own a flower shop… I’d definitely have a blog, or some sort of outlet to “tell the story.”
Why?
I don’t have a drop of data to back this up, but imagine the stories florists must here while taking orders over the phone. These stories, along with the arrangements created, could easily be shared on a blog to “tell the story.”
The content would show the flower shops talent, show how they connect with customers and give the shop some personality.
And hey, this could be taken a step further.
You know the short notes people put on cards? Take the names off and you instantly have anonymous tweets that could get shared, many of which would likely strike a chord with consumers and end up getting retweets.
It would be great to see this put in practice and to see how it plays out.
