Twitter brand pages have been teased in the media, so you might be wondering, “How do I get a Twitter brand page?”
Well, the short answer is that you pay for it by way of advertising on Twitter. This previous post titled, “How to get a Verified Twitter Account” takes a look at Twitter advertising and Verified badges, but it doesn’t quite touch this topic.
Here’s how you get one of these new pages.
I was trying to figure out how to embed a tweet a while back, and remember hearing that Twitter would eventually release an embed feature, but it was only available to the cool kids a select few (if memory serves me correctly) at that time.
There were some third party solutions that offered an embed solution at the time, but when I searched for one a while back the results didn’t seem to work.
But the good news is that it appears Twitters embed tweet feature has been added for everyone. I don’t know when it went live, and quite frankly, it could have been added a while back because if you aren’t looking carefully, you’ll miss it.
The question about how to get a Verified Twitter account is something that comes up quite often.
I’ve heard all kinds of answers, but in reality, there are only two.
Currently, the minimum spend on Twitter to get a Verified account is $5,000. The process requires you to complete an insertion order (IO), a Twitter ad buy, and then request to have the Verified Twitter badge added to your profile.
BUT, that will be changing.
No doubt about it, Google Plus has some very useful features and could will impact Google search results.
I’ve seen multiple reports highlighting the growth of Google Plus, but I can’t help but think to myself that the numbers just don’t feel right.
There’s a big difference between have X number of users, and X number of active users. And it feels like Google has placed Plus in enough locations that people have, at least once, gone to check it out and maybe even created a profile.
